Have you ever wondered how museum exhibits are created and what it’s like to work with historic artifacts? There is much to consider from selection of the artifacts, to researching them, writing text for public view, and even selecting wall colors. Many interesting and unexpected stories pop up while working with artifacts. Join Stephanie Gilmore, curator of the Golden History Museum, for a special tour of the current exhibits. Stephanie will share behind-the-scenes stories about working as a curator, and will answer questions about Golden’s history, people, and events.
This behind the scenes tour will include a preview showing of Rich Luckin's Golden Images in the Salon. Rich Luckin is a retired Coors employee who worked in their marketing department. He is a photographer and documentary filmmaker, having produced several PBS shows about trains and train history. Register Active Older Adults aged 50+
