Xcel Energy will host an open house for Golden residents to learn more about the company’s Wildfire Mitigation Program. This meeting was planned in response to residents' concerns about plans to eliminate trees that are growing under power lines. In many cases, these trees are in people's yards, and part of their landscaping.
You'll have a chance to speak with experts about Xcel Energy’s wildfire prevention strategies, including vegetation management and upcoming local projects.
