Planning Commission will review their progress on the 2025 work plan and discuss their goals for the 2026 work plan. The proposed work plan includes the following:
- Continued adjustments to the zoning code
- Negotiating with the owners of Golden Terrace Mobile Home Park to rezone the property with an Official Development Plan
- Adopt a new version of the Comprehensive Plan. The new version provides more emphasis on density, reducing vehicles and parking (Transportation Demand Management), and concentrating affordable housing near RTD transit routes.
- Study reducing commercial floor area requirements in mixed use development in favor of adding affordable housing.
- Improve visibility and clarity of zoning code and the development review process.
- Increased workload resulting from Clayworks and the soon-to-be-annexed Junction (at the north end of town)
