Pat Klein has captured some interesting photos of the big new project on South Golden Road (map). According to the developer's website,
The development approvals include 285 apartment units in two mixed-use buildings and 68 townhomes. There will also be 20,000 sf of retail space in the mixed-use buildings fronting South Golden Rd and an extensive mix of public and private amenities (pool, fitness, co-working, green space, and gathering areas).
GW Apartments
Pat sent similar photos in 2022, when the GW Apartments (map) were under construction. According to apartments.com, this building includes 86 units, with rents currently ranging from $2395 to $5936 per month.
Not-the-GLO Park
The next potential development is a parcel of land that had been called the GLO Park. A year ago, the plan was develop the area (which is next to the National Renewable Energy Lab) for energy-related labs and businesses. The state is now soliciting information from developers to build an 8-story apartment building on that land. Learn more.
That's a lot of development planned for a one-mile stretch of two-lane road!
