The Museum’s goal is to showcase not only Colorado’s rich railroad history, but also the many creative people—around the world—who keep the spirit of railroading alive and well in the 21st century.

The Evolutions CFE show never disappoints with the variety of entries. The jurors have made their choices of the quilts that will be in the exhibit, and we think you will be surprised and delighted with the quilts.

NORTHEAST GALLERY
Thorns & Spikes | The 4 Common Corners

(through July 20, 2024)
It is amazing to see what comes from a creative group of people challenging each other to create original quilts for a theme. They take 4 months to develop and create their work for each theme. This exhibit is the result of the THEME challenge "Thorns and Spikes" for a group who all live in the Common 4 Corner states, and the only rule is that their work represents these states.

Cat Takeover II - A Travel Cat Meet-up!

When: 5-8PM
Where: New Terrain Brewing Company, 16401 Table Mountain Pkwy, Golden, CO

Bring your cat in a backpack, stroller or other enclosed carrier to our celebration of travel cats. Don't think your cat can handle it? Don't have a cat? That's fine too. Just come and hang out with the other cats that will be here. Because cats. Last time there was more than 50 cats that showed up!

Once again, we have partnered with our neighbors at KONG and will have some limited edition cat-themed glassware on sale for $6 (while supplies last). All proceeds from the glassware will go to the Cat Care Society who will be on-site with a pamphlet of adoptable cats that you can look through. KONG will also be on-site with some fun cat-related goodies (while supplies last).

We will be open to the public as normal during this event so there will likely be dogs outside in our beer garden. Because of this, our back Terminus Room will be reserved for this event as a safe place away from dogs for cats and their owners. However, you and your cats are welcome out in the beer garden as well, we just ask that you keep your cat safely contained in some way. Cats are some weird, unique and amazing animals and we're very aware each one will have different needs while here.
