Clear Creek Room: The Heart of Golden
Surrounded by North and South Table Mountains, Clear Creek has drawn people to this area for millennia.
We Are Still Here: The Endurance of Native Jewels
(through August 2025)
In this exhibit, we define jewel as both a precious item as well as a woman of strength and importance. Explore how Indigenous women have persevered through hundreds of years of oppression and numerous attempts to destroy their culture. Featuring modern Native fashions that utilize ancient Indigenous jewels, learn about prominent Native women in contemporary American society. Not only are Native Americans still here; they have endured, and they are thriving.
This is Native Art: This exhibit brings together more than 35 practicing Native American artists from across the United States, each exploring various aesthetics and compositions while challenging the narrative of what Native American art is and what people expect it to be.
Discovery Awaits: Indigenous Connections, Epic Events, Legendary People, and the Touch Gallery. A new Jolly Rancher exhibit is in the works and will open in 2025.
Golden History Park (11th & Arapahoe): The outdoor setting re-creates the look and feel of a late 1800's mountain ranch complete with gardens, a working blacksmith shop, schoolhouse and chicken coop (chickens included).

The main floor exhibits feature specimens from many Colorado mining districts, other global localities and an introductory video on area geology. The Special Exhibit Room hosts prominent precious metal and invited displays. The main gallery also showcases historic mining murals by Irwin Hoffman.
The basement contains numerous exhibits regarding radioactivity, fossils, basic geology, gemstones, meteorites, ultraviolet minerals and underground mining illumination. The outdoor geologic trail features seven outcrops with various geologic and paleontological points of interest, including fossilized dinosaur tracks, logs and leaves.

Ricky Tims has enjoyed a rich and exciting career in quilting, winning numerous awards at national and international exhibitions. Ricky has shared his skill through patterns and teaching his methods, but has been fortunate to keep a large collection of his creations and the time has come to display this amazing journey of creativity in a single exhibit.

Voices of Wildlife - A Solo Exhibit by Sue Sherman

Sue Sherman is a fibre artist living in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada (close to Toronto). Building upon a lifelong passion for all the fibre arts, and following a career in engineering, Sue emerged as a full-time fibre artist in 2017. As an avid traveler and nature photographer, Sue works with her own photos to create lifelike imagery in quilted textile art.

Jeffco 4-H Fair, Livestock Auction & Youth Market

Summertime means Fair time!
Check out our upcoming events happening this week as part of the Jeffco 4-H Fair, including livestock shows, gymkhana events, youth market, BBQ fundraiser, and livestock auction!
Livestock shows will feature our 4-H members showing the animals they have been caring for and working with throughout the year.
The gymkhana will feature fun, speed events on horseback, where our members will compete for the best time!
The youth market is similar to a farmer's market, where members have the opportunity to sell items related to their projects. In the past we have seen items like goat milk soap, cake pops, embroidery, dryer balls, and earrings! Come out to shop and support a 4-H member.
The BBQ fundraiser and livestock auction is another great way to support our members. You can purchase a BBQ plate ($10/person cash or check) that will go towards putting on the auction and educational opportunities for livestock members or purchase an animal during our auction!

The Golden Farmers Market (GFM) is produced and managed by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization in Golden, Colorado. The revenue generated from vendor sales commission helps to cover market operating expenses and directly benefits small businesses and the economic development of the Golden Community.

Full Walking Tour @ Dinosaur Ridge

Where: Dinosaur Ridge, 16831 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison, CO
The Full Walking Tour is a guided tour of the East and West sides of Dinosaur Ridge. A volunteer guide will interpret the dinosaur tracks and bone fossils, local history, and geology during the one-way, 1.5-mile tour on a paved trail will take 1.5-2 hours. All walkers require a ticket to be transported via a shuttle bus to their starting point. This tour is designed for participants ages 10 and older.
Tour Specifics:
- $24 per person (All walkers require a ticket to be transported via a shuttle bus to their starting point)
- 1.5-2 hours
- Admission to the Exhibit Hall is included with each ticket
- Masks are required on the shuttle bus (ages 3+).
- Tour may be called off for active precipitation, temps below 32 degrees, or lack of registrations.
- Appropriate attire: comfortable shoes, sun hats, sunglasses, removable clothing (windbreakers, fleeces, etc…)
- Bring drinking water
- Minimum of 2 and maximum of 13 participants

Open House @ Golden History Park

There will no longer be entertainment, official vendors, an information line or email contact. The Cruise has always been yours and you know the drill. If you’ve been a participant or spectator, come out as usual. If you’re new to the Cruise, start at South Golden Road and jump in. It’s easy and the people are great. Support the City of Golden and Golden businesses because they’ve always been our gracious hosts. Thank you very sincerely for the perfect job of picking up and packing out trash. Point of important courtesy: Drive straight through all roundabouts, but ESPECIALLY at South Golden Road and Ulysses at the top of the hill. Tell others and use it as a cooldown and space it out to come back around through the Quaker roundabout.
