We Are Still Here: The Endurance of Native Jewels

Indigenous women have persevered through hundreds of years of oppression and numerous attempts to destroy their culture. Explore modern Native fashions that utilize ancient Indigenous jewels and learn about prominent Native women in contemporary American society.
Discovery Awaits: Indigenous Connections, Epic Events, Glimpses of Golden, Legendary People, and the Touch Gallery.
Golden History Park (11th & Arapahoe): The outdoor setting re-creates the look and feel of a late 1800's mountain ranch complete with gardens, a working blacksmith shop, schoolhouse and chicken coop (chickens included).

The main floor exhibits feature specimens from many Colorado mining districts, other global localities and an introductory video on area geology. The Special Exhibit Room hosts prominent precious metal and invited displays. The main gallery also showcases historic mining murals by Irwin Hoffman.
The basement contains numerous exhibits regarding radioactivity, fossils, basic geology, gemstones, meteorites, ultraviolet minerals and underground mining illumination. The outdoor geologic trail features seven outcrops with various geologic and paleontological points of interest, including fossilized dinosaur tracks, logs and leaves.

Conversations - A Solo Exhibit by Carol Ann Waugh
(through April 18, 2026)
Carol embarked on this series of quilts to document her life by looking at important events that took place during significant years in her life. Starting with 1948 and ending in 2014 each piece takes the viewer on a visual journey through the past, touching on inventions, science, famous and infamous people, women’s achievements, and popular culture. When people view these pieces up close, they can turn to the people next to them and it starts up a conversation.

Artistry Through Applique - an Afternoon with David Taylor

This lecture/demo afternoon class covers every step of David's process for creating appliqué art quilts that look like paintings using only fabric and thread. From pattern drawing to binding, every step is included. His technique requires only a love of fabric and quilting, and a willingness to spend months on the same project. David makes learning - fun with a lecture that is funny and informative.

Come STAND with us one deep on the sidewalks thru Golden. We will start at Washington Ave and 10th St & spread out, as far as we can go.
This is a peaceful rally. One of the important principles is the idea of de-escalation. We aim for a nonviolent protest. And we aim to be counted. We will also have the opportunity to talk with our neighbors about the important issues of the day.

CPR/AED for Outdoor Enthusiasts

We are offering a small CPR/AED class at the CMC Basecamp (new CMC Building), Lodge Room. There is a limit of 10 students. Our certified CPR/AED Laura Zaruba instructor will also be teaching the class. Students completing the class will receive a two-year Adult CPR/AED certification from ECSI and CMC CPR Badge in their profile.
