Clear Creek Room:  The Heart of Golden
Surrounded by North and South Table Mountains, Clear Creek has drawn people to this area for millennia. 

We Are Still Here:  The Endurance of Native Jewels
(through April 2026)
Indigenous women have persevered through hundreds of years of oppression and numerous attempts to destroy their culture. Explore modern Native fashions that utilize ancient Indigenous jewels and learn about prominent Native women in contemporary American society.

Discovery Awaits:  Indigenous Connections, Epic Events, Glimpses of Golden, Legendary People, and the Touch Gallery. 

Golden History Park (11th & Arapahoe):  The outdoor setting re-creates the look and feel of a late 1800's mountain ranch complete with gardens, a working blacksmith shop, schoolhouse and chicken coop (chickens included).

The main floor exhibits feature specimens from many Colorado mining districts, other global localities and an introductory video on area geology. The Special Exhibit Room hosts prominent precious metal and invited displays. The main gallery also showcases historic mining murals by Irwin Hoffman.

The basement contains numerous exhibits regarding radioactivity, fossils, basic geology, gemstones, meteorites, ultraviolet minerals and underground mining illumination. The outdoor geologic trail features seven outcrops with various geologic and paleontological points of interest, including fossilized dinosaur tracks, logs and leaves.

2026 Men's Exhibit

MEN’S EXHIBIT 2026 is RMQM’s 18th exhibit of quilts made by men since its opening in 1990. This biennial tradition lives on as visitors love seeing quilts made by men! 

NORTHEAST GALLERY 
Conversations - A Solo Exhibit by Carol Ann Waugh
(through April 18, 2026)
Carol embarked on this series of quilts to document her life by looking at important events that took place during significant years in her life.  Starting with 1948 and ending in 2014 each piece takes the viewer on a visual journey through the past, touching on inventions, science, famous and infamous people, women’s achievements, and popular culture.  When people view these pieces up close, they can turn to the people next to them and it starts up a conversation.

SLASH Off-Season Windstorm Debris Drop-Off

When: 9AM-3:30PM
Where: Tincup Ridge Slash Yard, 151 S Rooney Rd, Golden, CO

To help residents manage storm-related debris, the Jeffco SLASH program will offer two free public drop-off days for fallen branches and downed trees resulting from the storms.

The Tincup Ridge Slash Yard (151 S Rooney Rd, Golden, CO 80401) will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Friday, April 10 
  • Saturday, April 11 

These temporary drop-offs are intended for storm-related debris only, specifically fallen or downed branches. Private companies and contractors are not authorized to dispose of material at any of our locations.

Walk With a Geologist

Ready to really nerd out with a deep dive into the geology and paleontology at Dino Ridge? Our Walk With a Geologist tour is a 2.5-hour (1.5 mile) guided walk across Dinosaur Ridge led by a professional or highly knowledgeable amateur geologist. In addition to the interpretation of the dinosaur track and fossil sites, the tour includes an in-depth discussion of the geology and changes to the Denver area through time. Designed for participants ages 16 and older.

Collage Collective

Join us at Foothills Art Center Creative Campus on the second Saturday of the month to unwind, de-stress and build a creative collage community.

Collage is a perfect vehicle for sparking creativity and manipulating images into something “better” than it was. This is a regularly scheduled time each month to let yourself check out of reality and allow your imagination to take off. We will use collage techniques and design tips that will help guide everyone from experienced to novice artists. Each month a theme will be presented, but you are always welcome to take a creative turn and explore on your own. A variety of magazines, patterned papers, mixed media materials, and embellishments are provided. Materials will change monthly so each session will be exciting and fresh.
