The July 12, 1934 Colorado Transcript announced that Ashton Chevrolet had installed a new cement floor in its service area. This was the first of several planned upgrades to the business.
Modern care dealerships tend to be huge buildings, often located on the outskirts of communities, so it's hard to imagine that building serving as Golden's Chevy dealer. Nevertheless, Aston offered sales in the front part of the building and service in the rear from 1930 to 1936.

At that time, they built a new dealership on the northwest corner of 13th and Ford. The new building gave them more space for showroom and service bays. They were also able to install gas pumps.

The building at 12th and Washington has served many purposes over the years, including bank, dry goods store, grocery store, restaurant, clothing shop, drugstore, bookstore, and now (and for several years) Goozell Coffee and Frozen Yogurt.
