2025 GOLDEN POLICE NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

City of Golden Police Department
Crimewatch

Hello Golden Community!!!

As the police department gears up for the 2025 National Night Out, we would like to provide you with some information about this year's event!

There will be a dunk tank with volunteers from the City of Golden. There will be two ways to obtain throws to dunk the City of Golden Employee.

A scavenger hunt map will be provided to eventgoers. The map will have symbols that will be matched to different booths at the event. If you go to the booth that matches the picture on the Scavenger Hunt map, request a sticker from the booth, and place it on your map.

5 booth stickers = 1 Free Throw at the Dunk Tank
10 booth stickers = 2 Free Throws at the Dunk Tank
15 booth stickers = 3 Free Throws at the Dunk Tank

A donation of shelf-stable pantry food can be made to obtain throws at the dunk tank. The following are examples of foods that can be donated:

Canned fruits, vegetables, corn, or beans
1-pound bags of dry pinto beans or rice
Spaghetti noodles and spaghetti sauce

A donation of at least three shelf-stable items will get you one free throw at the dunk tank. A donation of four shelf-stable items will get you two free throws at the dunk tank. A donation of five or more shelf-stable items will get you three free throws at the dunk tank.

We hope to see you there for education, food, drinks, and fun!

GOLDEN, Colo. — Dean from Lakewood writes, “What’s driving you crazy? Looking at the bridge from 6th Ave that flies over I-70 going west, it’s disintegrating on the east face and looks dangerous. It looks sheared off and concrete has fallen exposing rebar all along that side of the bridge. It does not look good to me. Can you tell me about this and what’s being done to address this crumbling overpass.” Read more...
