    3-10PM Goldens in Golden Kick Off Pawrty @ The Golden Mill


    The Golden Mill is hosting the Goldens in Golden Kickoff Party with adoptable dogs from local rescues, photo truck sessions, doggy snacks and a Golden Retriever ice sculpture creation at 4:30pm. Live music from 5 - 8PM with Alibi. 

    Join us at the Golden Mill for our annual Kick Off Pawrty for Goldens in Golden!

    Event Highlights:

    Ice Sculpture Spectacle: Watch a skilled ice sculptor brings a majestic Golden Retriever statue to life before your eyes.

    Live Music: Alibi will be performing and keeping those tails wagging all night long.

    Fetch Photo Truck: • Includes a 10-minute session (up to two pups) and one high-res digital file, all in Denver’s only mobile portrait studio @fetchphototruck

    Golden History: The Innards of the Rose

    7 Years Ago
    My friend, Dave Powers, took these pictures on February 7, 2018. The Buffalo Rose was undergoing a massive remodeling at that time, and it was a fascinating opportunity to see interior walls that hadn’t seen daylight for nearly a century.

    The several buildings that make up the present-day Buffalo Rose have served as restaurants and bars, a barber shop, department store, roller skating rink, swimming pool, and garage. The next time you visit the Rose, look for the plaques that describe those earlier uses!

    The architect’s rendering (shown above) appeared on the fence that surrounded the building during construction. The photo below (Google images) shows the final product.
