The July 28, 1971 Golden Transcript showed an unusual offer at Gambles. They suggested that women bring in their husbands and weigh them. The store would give them a ten cent per pound discount on the purchase of major appliances or "major furniture."
Gambles was located at 1211 Washington (now Spirits in the Wind). They operated in Golden from 1942 to 1975
