The Downtown Development Authority has been considering converting the Miners Alley/Astor House parking lot into a "Public Plaza." In doing so, we would lose about 35 parking spaces in favor of a public events space. Today's event will provide a sample of that kind of use.
The event will feature activities, live music and performances from Miner’s Alley Performing Arts Center and the Foothills Arts Center at Astor House. Delicious bites from local food vendors will also be featured. This is an all-ages event; no alcohol will be served.
This event will focus on the DDA actions to date and also ask questions about the idea of a public plaza in downtown Golden.
