Brought to you by Golden Landmarks Association and Golden City Brewery
From the Golden Landmarks Association:
Please join Golden Landmarks Association (GLA) for the 2025 Summer Solstice at Golden City Brewery. Golden's 2nd LARGEST brewery is giving their support to Colorado's 2nd OLDEST historic preservation organization.
PLEASE TAKE A BREAK THIS COMING SATURDAY AND JOIN US FOR A BEER AT GCB, FROM 11AM UNTIL THE COMMEMORATIVE GLASSWARE RUNS OUT! YOUR DONATION GETS YOU A GLASS FILLED WITH YOUR FAVORITE GCB MICROBREW.
As always, our many thanks go to GCB for their continual support of Golden's many cultural organizations.
GLA needs your support, so we really hope to see you at GCB on Saturday the 21st. GLA's mission has always been to preserve and protect Golden's historic buildings, traditions, artifacts, and its citizens. Including The Astor House, Burgess House, Historic Districts, the Ronzio Historic Photographic Collection and many of our Living Landmarks.
Most recently GLA has been busy preparing and presenting exhibitions of our historic photographs. These exhibitions are free to the public and a large percentage of grants and donations are used for the continuous archival work needed d to stabilize the images. It's our desire to have as many images as possible usable for publication, etc. Two years ago, GLA took over the production and distribution of a coloring book depicting historic architecture in the Golden area. These coloring books are distributed without charge to Golden area schools. We've also remained a resource and participant in the effort to designate two additional Historic Districts in Golden. One being in the Goosetown neighborhood and the other being a district comprised of Golden's thirty some Colorado Territorial Capital era structures.
Last, due to community requests we look forward to resuming our Living Landmark celebrations in late 2025 or early 2026.
GLA sincerely thanks Golden for over fifty years of community support.
