Join the Arts and Culture Commission for a Public Art Open House and a chance to celebrate public art in Golden and shape its future.

The evening will begin at 5:00 pm at Golden’s Water Treatment Plant at the entrance to the Clear Creek RV Park. Artist Graham Carraway will give a short talk about his mural Clouds to the Creek located on the south side of the Water Treatment Plant.

At 5:30 pm we will walk the short distance from the mural to the Golden History Museum to view work by Yaz Atmore and Bill Gee. The evening will include light refreshments, live music, and an art-making activity.

The event will also include public artwork location activity, which will be an opportunity for community members to share ideas about where future public artwork could be located throughout Golden.

If you want public art in your neighborhood, come tell them so!

No prior public art experience is necessary, and no RSVP is required. Come celebrate Golden’s growing public art collection and share your ideas for what comes next.
