Public Comment:

The meeting begins with public comment. If you want to address Council, you will have three minutes to speak. Any public comments received by email before 3PM will be posted in the meeting packet after 3 (so check back then!).

Items on the Consent Agenda are considered non-controversial, not needing discussion. Everything in this section will be approved at once, with one vote. Any councilor wishing to discuss one of the issues can request that it be removed from the consent agenda and discussed and voted on separately. This is tonight's Consent item:

Borrowing $9.4 million to replace the pump station and irrigation system at the golf course

This project includes "full replacement including more than 100,000 linear feet of underground piping, installation of nearly 2,100 new sprinklers, and implementation of a modern satellite-based control system. Work will also extend to the adjacent Splash Water Park."

The City will use $2.1 million from the Golf Fund and will borrow the rest. The maximum repayment shall not exceed $12.2 million. Because the money is being borrowed through Certificates of Participation (the same mechanism used for the new City Hall), no citizen approval is required. Learn more.
