Grant Requests
Last month, Morris & Mae requested $3,000 to pay for coffee and tea at the monthly Golden Startup Network meetings. EDComm approved $1500 and asked for clarification on how the money would be used. The business said the money would cover only coffee and tea. They are requesting the other $1500 this month.
Truly Bohotique and Alyth Active plan to repeat last year's Golden Fashion Week event. This year, they will hold it at Morris & Mae. Last year they requested $1500 to defray the expenses of the event. This year they are requesting $1800.
Economic Contribution Study
The City commissioned a study to determine the economic contributions made by various sectors. The consultants will present the results at tonight's meeting. (The study begins on p. 13 of the meeting packet.)
Small Business Grant Program
They will continue discussing a proposed grant program for small businesses that are not eligible for GURA or DDA grants. (The guidelines appear on p. 39 of the meeting packet.)
