The June 1, 1916 Colorado Transcript announced that the City Meat Market, formerly located at 10th and Ford, was moving into its new building on Washington Avenue.
A. J. Treffeisen has taken a five-year lease on the Coors block on Washington Avenue, and the building has been fitted up with new and modern fixtures. An immense new vault, having a capacity of 6,750 pounds of ice, has been installed. This vault will need refilling only four or five times in a year… The back room and the basement of the building will be used for the manufacture of prepared meats and for storage. Mr. Treffeisen and his family will occupy the second floor.
