Representatives from Clayworks will present sustainable building practices achieved to date and share details of a request to amend the plans to include greater natural gas use in future buildings on site.
The City offered $161K in rebates this year for sustainability upgrades, including battery backup systems, solar photovoltaic, heat humps, insulation, etc. The grants were enthusiastically embraced by the public and will likely be offered again next year.
The City has scheduled another community sustainability event:
Sept 28th, 5-7:30PM - Keeping the Lights On: Powering Your Golden Home During Outages
The new trash hauler, 5280 Waste Solutions, will begin collections on September 1st.
