Want to do a good turn for an exemplary local business? Nominate them for one of the Golden Chamber's annual awards. These awards are a tremendous honor, and indicate that a business is not only profitable, but good for the community. Of course, the winners must be members in good standing of the Golden Chamber to be eligible.
The awards will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on April 17th. Please click here to nominate member businesses. Nominations will be accepted only through February 24th.
Here are the categories for 2025 Business Awards:
Community Impact of the Year:
Presented to a business, non-profit, or organization that creatively and effectively brought together community members, resources, or organizations to encourage an environment of support, respect, and thoughtfulness within the Golden community.
Volunteer of the Year:
In recognition of outstanding volunteer service of an individual or a business within the greater Golden area. This volunteer best demonstrates the selfless and valuable contributions that volunteering makes to our community as a whole.
The Golden Standard Award:
Presented to an organization or business that actively demonstrates support for diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace or in the City of Golden. The awardee contributes to and enhances our business environment through consistent and sustained efforts to improve opportunities for the diverse communities we serve.
Budding Business of the Year:
This is awarded to a business that has been in operation five years or fewer. The Budding Business of the Year award recognizes the difficulties that come with starting a business and is awarded to a relatively new business that has demonstrated the creativity, energy, perseverance, and talent needed to sustain a successful business and has provided a positive impact on the local community.
Business of the Year:
This award is presented to a business that has thrived, enhanced the lives of its employees, and shown exceptional support to the economic vitality of the Golden community.
