The April 29, 1920 Colorado Transcript announced that Golden had a new organization:

Golden now has a Chamber of Commerce, a real, live, boosting Chamber of Commerce, an organization which is destined to work out big things for the city, to aid in it growing into a bigger and better city.

The Chamber’s first meeting was held at Linder Hall, on the second floor of the Linder Hardware building. The meeting was attended by about fifty Golden businessmen.

Herman F. Coors, manager of the local pottery, and one of the ablest young business men and executives in the state, is the president of the Chamber of Commerce.
