Wednesday, January 21 - 8:30-10:30AM
Join the Chamber and the City of Golden's Economic Development Department, for a session to bring businesses together after the PSPS (Public Safety Power Shutoffs) that took place in December 2025. Register
In this session we will:
- Review data from the Chamber's recent Business Impact Survey
- Learn more about who makes shut off decisions
- Opportunities to connect with other businesses on their experience and have conversation around how things could be better in the future.
In addition to this being an opportunity to connect businesses, we have extended invitations to local government and key stakeholders in hopes that they can see the results of the impact survey and hear thoughtful ideas from the business community on ways to better the situation moving forward.

Golden History: Awash with Breweries

Cannonball Creek Brewing celebrated their 13th anniversary this past weekend. While it may seem as if Golden has always been awash with breweries, it wasn’t always this way. Coors was established in 1873. After that, we waited 120 years for Golden City Brewery, which opened in 1993.
The tidal wave of breweries began in 2013:
2013 Cannonball Creek Brewing
2013 Mountain Toad Brewing
2013 Barrels & Bottles
2016 Holidaily
2016 New Terrain Brewing
2018 Coda Brewing
2019 Over Yonder Brewing (closed 2025)
2024 Mad Mack's Brewing

The historic Colorado Transcripts and Golden Globes inform us that there was an earlier “Golden City Brewery” in the 1860s and the “Eagle Brewing Company” in the 1890s.
