5-8:30PM Golden Super Cruise

2024 is the start of the Golden Super Cruise’s 20th official anniversary season. There will no longer be entertainment, official vendors, an information line or email contact. The Cruise has always been yours and you know the drill. If you’ve been a participant or spectator, come out as usual. If you’re new to the Cruise, start at South Golden Road and jump in. It’s easy and the people are great. Support the City of Golden and Golden businesses because they’ve always been our gracious hosts.

Thank you very sincerely for the perfect job of picking up and packing out trash. Point of important courtesy: Drive straight through all roundabouts, but ESPECIALLY at South Golden Road and Ulysses at the top of the hill. Tell others and use it as a cooldown and space it out to come back around through the Quaker roundabout.

8AM-1PM Golden Farmers Market

The Golden Farmers Market is produced and managed by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization in Golden, Colorado. A long-standing tradition in the Golden community, we strive to contribute to the success of local food growers and producers, as well as other businesses, and create vibrant community gatherings. The revenue generated from vendor sales commission helps to cover market operating expenses and directly benefits small businesses and the economic development of the Golden Community.
The market is located at the corner of 10th and Illinois Streets - map.

The July 6, 1961 Colorado Transcript announced the grand opening of a new apartment building at 909 13th Street (map).
The large, new Jewell Apartments will help take some of the housing pressure off Golden soon.
Colorado Transcript - July 6, 1961
Among the modern, high-end features were an elevator, swimming pool, fallout shelter, private balconies, private parking, and laundry facilities. The complex included 20 one-bedroom units and a pair of two bedroom penthouses.
The apartment building is still there, though at some point in the past 63 years it was renamed. It's now the Peri Apartments.
