Lace up and join us on TODAY for Golden's biggest annual run. You'll run right through downtown, under the iconic "Welcome" arch, with start and finish at Golden High School.

Dogs Welcome!
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the 5K and 10K. Register your dog in the "Add On" section and they'll receive a Golden Gallop bandana in your race packet.
Dogs may not participate in the Kids Fun Run.
Good to Know
- Cash prizes: 1st $150 · 2nd $100 · 3rd $50 for M/F in both 5K and 10K (12 awards total). Course record bonus: $100.
- Age group awards for M/F in 5K and 10K: 10 & Under, 11–13, 14–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, 80+.
- Runners with dogs or strollers must start at the back of the pack.

Golden History: The Shelton Murals

Whenever I visit the 2nd floor of the Community Center, I pause to admire this mural by Hal Shelton. It was originally painted to hang in the Empire Room at the Holland House Hotel (now the Table Mountain Inn).

There was a “sister” mural hanging in the other dining room in the Holland House–the Pioneer Room. That mural was called “The Founding of Golden.”
