This new commission is still getting up to speed. They will meeting the City's new Arts & Culture Coordinator, Alyssa Williams. They will learn about the Art in Public Places program, which dedicates 1% of construction budgets to art. As an example, we will be spending about $470K on art for the new City Hall. They will also learn about Thriving Communities Arts & Culture Grants. The 2025 budget includes $540K for Thriving Communities grants (but I'm not sure that's all earmarked for Arts & Culture).
