Tonight, the Planning Commission will be reviewing a major project at 2122 Jackson Street (map). This property is surrounded by trees that effectively screen it from view. In addition to the two-story house (which dates to 1909), the double lot includes a one-story cottage and a two-story garage with an apartment on the second floor.
The meeting packet informs us that "the applicant is proposing to subdivide the existing parcel into five lots, including the development of two compact cottage units and one compact cottage triplex."
The Community Development Director has already approved the plan, but two City Councilors requested that the Planning Commission review it to ensure that they interpret the zoning code the same way the Director did.
