HPB will continue their discussion of 1615 Ford Street, which is located in the East Street Historic District. The applicant is requesting a "Certificate of Appropriateness" for the project.
Pel-Ona Architects proposes building two new homes (a duplex) in the backyard of this 1870s single family home. They began this discussion last month and "...asked the applicant to continue the item to allow for the applicant to adjust the pitch of the roof, provide examples of telescoping gables within the neighborhood or match the gables to the existing structure and to allow staff to review the proposed materials for the addition."
The will also hear what Board Member Rooney learned at the Saving Places Conference and discuss implementation of Historic Preservation Policy recommendations, which were presented to City Council at their March 4th meeting.
