The Public Art Commission has proposals for art installations in DeLong and New Loveland Mine Parks and the Clear Creek trail. Staff reviewed them, then passed them to the Commission members. They are not included in the meeting packet. The Commission will cull the options down to a smaller list, which will be passed on a selection committee.

The board received three letters from neighbors living near DeLong Park, asking that the neighborhood be allowed to weigh in on the piece selected. PAC members decided to ask City Council to appoint two neighbors to the selection committee, which will also include two reps from the Parks board and three reps from the Public Arts Commission.

The Commission will be working with Colorado Community Media (owners of the Golden Transcript) on a new project to make art prints available throughout the community. More info to come, but it sounds like a cool project.
