For you night owls there's a blood moon coming to Golden tonight. The lunar eclipse will start at 11:10 pm Thursday and become "total" between 12:36 and 1:32 am Friday. The whole show ends at 2:48 am.
This lunar eclipse should be quite dark. The red is caused by sunlight filtering through Earth's atmosphere. We need to get lucky with Mother Nature as the Thursday night forecast is kind of iffy.
