Possible Rabies Exposure Near Golden Circle Neighborhood

We have reports that bats were found inside apartments near the Golden Circle neighborhood in Golden. People may have been exposed while outside or inside their homes.
If you find bats in your home, contact Lakewood Animal Control or Jefferson County Public Health. They can help with capturing and testing the bat.
If you see an animal that looks sick or injured, do not try to handle them, contact your local animal control agency for help.
