The tenants in the eight low-income apartments have moved.
And Friday, Sept. 23, demolition is scheduled to begin.

The September 15, 1994 Golden Transcript described a last-ditch effort on the part of historic preservationists to save a Territorial-Era building on the northeast corner of 14th and Arapahoe. Calvary Church had bought the building on the opposite side of Arapahoe Street to support their expansion plans.
Calvary's historic church, built in 1867-1868 at 13th and Arapahoe, seated only 80 people.
They were planning a three-phase expansion. In phase one, they would build a new parish hall at 14th and Arapahoe. The new building would also serve as a sanctuary and would seat 160. In phase two, they would add a building that would bridge the original church and the new parish hall. Phase three required the City of Golden to vacate half a block of Arapahoe Street so Calvary could build a new church that would seat 350-450 people.
The City agreed to vacate the street and the area currently serves as a plaza, used during the monthly Golden Bike Cruises. The historic building was demolished and that property now holds Calvary's parking garage.
In 2014, Calvary also purchased the Armory building on the east side of 13th and Arapahoe, so the church now owns all property on both sides of the street.
