9AM Public Art Commission Meeting @ City Hall
The PAC will review a draft document outlining how a citizen group might request art on a particular topic or in a particular place. The PAC will consider the citizen suggestion and may choose to contribute to the cost of the art. Citizen suggestions will be reviewed once a year,in April. The PAC has $15,000 budgeted for “Community Partnership.”

Alternatively, the PAC can commission artwork of its own choosing at any time of the year, within the confines of their budget. This year, they have budgeted expenditures of $159K.

Earlier this month, they put out calls for proposals for two public art installations at $75K each. They had planned to commission a third (also $75K) but put that project on hold when they learned that the City intends to re-landscape the property on which they had planned to place the third piece.
