Golden (Recent) History Moment:
Before February ends, I thought I’d post a blast from the past: Scrambowl photos! For several years, the Chamber of Commerce sponsored this event every February at the now-gone Golden Bowl. It was a fund-raiser to help pay for holiday lights along South Golden Road. Golden businesses, non-profits, and government departments formed teams and competed. Goldentoday’s team consisted of my then-teenaged daughter and her friends, and two years in a row we won the “worst team” trophy. A great source of pride!

This is the final day ofHeart and Soul of Golden month, so after today, I’ll be folding cultural stuff in with the rest of the Golden events. I hope you noticed that in one (extra-short!) month, members of the Golden Cultural Alliance hosted nearly 200 events.
