Yesterday was a wonderful annual event here in Golden. Every fall, the Golden Civic Foundation holds a fund-raising auction. People and organizations from all over Golden contribute auction items and the Golden community turns out in droves to bid. After that, the Foundation holds a grant distribution luncheon and GIVES IT ALL AWAY!
Thirty-two Golden non-profit organizations received grants yesterday, including schools, museums, relief organizations, the fire department, and many others. The list of things they asked for makes interesting reading. Check it out on the Golden Civic Foundation’s website!.
