Golden History Moment
This photo shows some of Golden’s earliest settlers. The men of the Boston Company arrived in Golden in June of 1859. They came with wagonloads of goods to sell and built one of our first store buildings on the north side of the Creek, in what is now Parfet Park. Look around the park the next time you’re there, and see if you can spot the marker that commemorates the site of this building.
