Virtual Golden

Foothills Art Center is holding their annual gala tonight–virtually! City Manager Jason Slowinski is the emcee, and they’ll have fun and games and an auction. You can buy a ticket for only $25 and start bidding on art, travel, jewelry, and services. Attendance is down with the pandemic, so they can certainly use your support, and this is a fun and easy way to provide it. Learn more….

City Council will vote to approve purchase of new video conference equipment. The $222,165.92 will be covered with Cares Act Funds. They will discuss whether to authorize City staff to begin negotiating with either the Civic Foundation or Foothills Art Center concerning future occupation of the Astor House. They will discuss Staff’s proposal to disallow overnight parking in our city parks. This is motivated, in part, by the desire to keep people from camping in their cars or RVs in our parks.


Real Life Golden

The Buffalo Rose has a good show lined up tonight. Enjoy Irish Session music with Banthom House. Dinner and drinks will available, and coronavirus rules will be in force–limited audience, distancing enforced, masks except when eating, etc. The show starts at 7 and the doors open at 6. Seating are first-come, first-seated. Tickets available here….
