The Golden Urban Renewal Authority will meet tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They will consider a sign grant request by the soon-to-open 5 Star Bakery (811 12th St.). They will discuss the plan to turn over a large part of GURA’s cash to the new Downtown Development Authority. They will review a draft of a new GURA brochure, to be used for businesses and residents in the newer urban renewal areas. They will consider some changes in sequence of the improvements in the new Colfax Avenue Urban Renewal area. See their meeting packet for more information.
Barrels & Bottles is releasing a special Peach Berliner Weisse beer this afternoon at 4, to celebrate Golden Rotary’s annual peach sale fund-raiser. Stop by the Brewery (600 12th St.) between 4 and 10PM to try the brew. Rotarians will be on hand to accept last-minute peach orders!
