New City Manager Jason Slowinski will be at Golden Beer Talks tonight, and the featured brewery is Barrels & Bottles. The talk will start at about 6:30, and if you want to be sure to get a table, come earlier, like 6-ish. The venue, as always, is Windy Saddle Cafe, right under the Welcome arch downtown.
This is Colorado Gives Day. The Golden Civic Foundation is hosting a party at the Table Mountain Inn for Golden’s non-profit organizations, from 4:30-7. Even if you can’t make the party, please consider supporting some of Golden’s eligible organizations. They’ll get a little extra from the Community First Foundation if you make your donations today. (You must give through the Colorado Gives website to get the matching funds.)
One final option: there’s a free lecture tonight at Earth Treks Climbing Center. Paige Claassen will be speaking about her Top 10 Climbs from around the world and Upslope Brewing Company will be serving beer! Contributions to the American Alpine Club are welcome.
