Fresh Food, Vintage Baseball, and Ancient Dinosaurs

Our bigger & better Farmer’s Market will be running this morning, from 8 – 1 at 10th and Illinois.  Pick up some fresh produce and bread, and take a carriage ride while you’re there.

After the Farmer’s Market, cross the bridge and visit the Clear Creek History Park.  From 10 – 5 they’ll be playing baseball by the original rules. Remember the days when baseball was played without gloves, the pitcher was called a hurler and the batter was called a striker? Of course not! So bring your family and friends and stop by the Clear Creek History Park to take the field and to learn how the game was played in the good old days. There is no admission charge, but as always, donations are greatly appreciated.

Dinosaur Ridge is celebrating National Get Outdoors Day today.  They’ll have volunteers stationed along the ridge to point out the evidence of dinosaurs in the area and to answer questions.  They have lots of hands-on kids activities planned.
