Golden, when there was less of it

The Postcards page is currently showing several views of Golden as seen from the Lariat Loop road in the 1920s, along with one modern shot.  It’s interesting to see how much the valley has filled in the past 100 years.  City and Mountain Views magazine’s website has an excellent account of how the Lariat Loop road was built.
