The October 16th issue included a detailed article about the huge crops all over the state, and which varieties were selling for the best prices. October 30th featured a front-page article about the "PRIZE CROPS ON THE EASLEY FARM," which asserted that the apples grown in the Clear Creek valley were "as fine a quality of apple as any place in the state."
