2PM Miners Alley Playhouse – Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune
Frankie & Johnny in the Clair de Lune is a play that is as raw as it is romantic, as visceral as it is vibrant, and as funny as it is breathtaking. When a diner waitress and a short order cook meet for a night of fiery passion, they expect a return to loneliness. But as desire turns into the possibility of love, they realize that true connection means being unafraid to reach for the moon. *Rated R for Brief Nudity* Learn more….

Are you interested in serving on one of the City’s boards or commissions? It’s time to submit an application! These boards have openings: Sustainability – 3 openings | Downtown Development Authority – 1 | Golden Urban Renewal Authority – 1 | Historic Preservation Board – 4 | Mobility and Transportation – 3 | Planning – 5 | Investment Advisory – 1
Editorial:
This will be a particularly interesting year to be on the Planning Commission. The City has hired several consultants to rewrite our zoning code. The results could be either good or bad for the future of Golden, depending in part on this year’s Planning Commission members. The current Commission has been very single-minded in their relentless pursuit of density, and frankly, I would like to see some diversity of opinion on that board. Apply here. Applications are due by March 11th.
We also have an opening on City Council. When Councilor Weinberg became Mayor Weinberg, that left the Ward 4 seat open. So far, two candidates have announced their plans to run for the seat, but you have until February 18th to submit your petition to the City Clerk. You must live in Ward 4, and your petition must have signatures from at least 25 residents of Ward 4. Learn more….
