Since the library is closed, and the Bookmobile didn’t come on Easter Sunday, you may find yourself with an accumulation of overdue library books. If so, take note: the Bookmobile will be in the library parking lot tonight from 6-8 PM.
The Jeffco Innovators Workshop is a local group designed to inform and encourage people who are thinking of, or actively engaged in, starting a company or launching an invention. If you fit in this category, you should attend a meeting! The meetings are fun and interesting, and you’ll have a chance to meet others who are engaged in a similar process.
The Innovators are meeting tomorrow night at 6:30. As usual, they’ll be hearing from the founder of a successful start-up company. The interesting spin is that this month, they’re meeting in a distillery and hearing from Sean Smiley, founder of Golden-based State 38 Distilling. Sean has a chemical engineering background and has started several companies, most recently a boutique distillery built by hand with extreme attention to detail. The group will receive a detailed tour and, of course, the opportunity to taste State 38’s products. Admission to this Jeffco Innovators event is free but RSVP is required as space is limited….
