The Railroad Museum offers a special program today, honoring the great effort of Irish Immigrants who had a profound impact on the building of the transcontinental railroad. As told from the perspective of the fictionalized character, John Joseph McGlinchey, they share the story through his daily diary of working on the rails, laying the track that would connect the west and the east, and the challenges and perils of the “Gandy Dancers.” Performances will be held at 1, 2, 3, and 4, and will last about 30 minutes. This special event is included with the price of admission.
