Press Forward is a coalition of funders who support local news. As their home page says, "As local newsrooms have disappeared across America, communities have witnessed fading civic engagement, eroding social bonds, surging misinformation, and dwindling governmental accountability."
I plan to apply for a grant to support and enlarge GoldenToday's coverage. I would like to include comments from my readers. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to send me a sentence or two describing how GoldenToday--
- Strengthens our sense of community by sharing news of local events
- Helps hold City government accountable by publicizing their actions and decisions
- Heightens awareness of Golden's arts & cultural organizations
- Supports local non-profit organizations
- Serves the local news needs of the Golden community
Basically, if GoldenToday disappeared, would you know where else to find the information we provide?
