Nobel Laureate in Town Tomorrow

Thomas Cech, University of Colorado-Boulder professor and Nobel laureate, will present “Noncoding RNA: When the message is not the message” Monday, Jan. 19th, at 4PM in Coolbaugh Hall, room 209.

Dr. Cech is a past president of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and was awarded a lifetime professorship by the American Cancer Society.  He has received the Heineken Prize of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences, the Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and the National Medal of Science.
