Intrepid photographer Dave Powers was out and about this weekend, and got some good photos of both the Library’s grand opening reception on Friday night and the Golden Music Festival on Sunday morning. Check our Facebook page to relive both events.
Dave has a photography exhibit now showing at the Golden Library. It includes a fascinating range of subjects, from a French washerwoman to Ronald Reagan to a Siberian tiger. Make sure you take time to see it!
The Downtown Development Authority meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They will consider two proposals for installing this winter’s holiday lights exhibit. They will also review grant requests from the Colorado Cowboy Gathering, Foothills Art Center, Golden Earth Days, Golden Schools Foundation, and the Jefferson Symphony. They are still looking at possible changes to the downtown planters, and will be asked to help fund new transit shelters for Parfet Park. See the full agenda on the city website.
