Plays, Lectures, Beer and Music – All on a Thursday!

If you attended the Golden Civic Foundation auction last Saturday, you’ll enjoy the photo album of the event that they’ve posted on their Facebook page.

Golden High School is presenting Totally Twelfth Night (starring the incomprable Lily Conrad) tonight, tomorrow night, and Saturday at 7PM, plus a 2PM matinee on Saturday.  This is Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, updated to a 1980’s setting.  Check the video on their facebook page.  It looks fun!

Golden Earth Days & the Colorado Renewable Energy Society are hosting a lecture at the Unitarian Church (map) tonight at 7.  Chuck Kutscher: Climate Change – The Latest Science, Why It’s Serious, and What We Can Do About It.  Chuck is the Director of the Buildings and Thermal Systems Center at NREL.

The Mountaineering Museum is celebrating Thirsty Third Thursday tonight.  Golden’s own Thunder and Rain will be supplying the music, and tonight’s beer comes from Left Hand Brewery.  As always, they’ll have a craft table for the kids, free admission to the museum, and awesome gear giveaways.  The party runs from 5:30-8:30.

Then, if you can handle two parties in one night, head across the Street to Mountain Toad Brewing for their Paintin’ and Pickin’ Night.  Watch Golden artist Jesse Crock paint one of his masterpieces, while Golden band The Lookout Mountain Boys fills the air with music.  That event runs approximately 5-11.
