Councilor Saoirse Charis-Graves is hosting “coffee with a councilor” this morning from 9-10 at Read, Write, and Brew.  This is your chance to meet with Saoirse and several other councilors in an informal environment.

Today and tomorrow are the annual Golden Community Pride days.  Golden citizens can get rid of unwanted items and debris by bringing them to the City Shops at 1300 Catamount Drive.  Items accepted include:  Rubbish, Construction Materials, Scrap Metal, Tires (maximum of four per household), Personal Computers, Televisions, Monitors, Printers, Fax Machines, Scanners, Copiers, Cell Phones, PDAs, Stereo Equipment, Typewriters, Keyboards, VCRs, Circuit Boards, Hard Drives. Untreated lumber, tree limbs and brush can be brought in for grinding, and on-site paper shredding is also available to help prevent identity theft. Do Not Bring: Appliances, Hazardous waste, Household chemicals, Paint, Batteries.  This service is only available to City of Golden residents, and proof of residency is required.

Once you’ve unloaded your old stuff, you can pick up some more at the rummage sale at the Jeffco Fairgrounds.  This runs from 9-3 and benefits Free Horizon Montessori School.

There will be a Golden Super Cruise tonight.  Cars will start gathering along South Golden Road about mid-afternoon.  Enjoy the show!
