The last Christmas parade takes place this morning at 11.  They’re really fun, and full of local groups.  If you haven’t been down for one this year, try to go.

After the parade, you should visit the Astor House.  They’re heavily decorated for Christmas, and they have holiday crafts and Victorian games ready for playing.

After your Astor House visit, take a free carriage ride.  If you have small children let them take a cart ride behind a massive Newfoundland dog.

Also enjoy the Victorian Carolers who will be strolling around downtown.

Needless to say, the people who pay for all this–the Golden Downtown merchants–would love it if you stayed and did a little shopping!.
